MDDM World-as-text

"the waters of this world" are reaching the cities of Dresden and Prague
today, having killed hundreds of Europeans in the past weeks. The "text"
that has to be signed to save the "world" is the Kyoto-agreement. It's the
USA that is mostly responsible for the unbelievable CO2-output responsible
for the catastrophe.
If you can afford surfing the Australian waves you're lucky, you're one of
the elect, but what about the preterite "Aborigines, who number about
400,000 among 19 million Australians, are among the poorest sections of
society and claim discrimination is widespread against them."

(Bandwraith posted this yesterday)
If you want to talk about the world instead of texts talk about the
important things, the romantic world view you're offering is dated.
You seem to criticise Robert but in fact you are criticising Pynchon. It's
Pynchon's world that is a text-world only, and being such a "reclusive"
author who only lets his texts speak he has drawn the consequences of the
postmodern condition.
