That's correct.  I still think there should be a
moderator, and I don't think it should be you or me,
or jbor, or Terrance, or fq.  Dave Monroe, maybe, but
he doesn't have the time.  When I said -- in that
discussion a while back -- that I thought this should
be a moderated list, I was echoing the sentiments of
one of the Pynchon-L co-founders.  Obviously, most
people on Pynchon-L don't want a moderated discussion,
so that means you get to keep flinging the kind of
crap you fling when your attention strays from
Pynchon, and I can continue to respond if I wish. In a
moderated discussion, neither of us would be able to
do that. If you're as concerned about this being a
polite discussion as you say you are, take care of
your own business first, or not, as you like.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to me, but if it's
some kind of threat, you really are turning creepy. I
don't suppose your the person who keeps signing me up
to receive email from some of those horrid sites taht
have started spamming me in recent days?  I hope not.

At any rate, Chill out, smoke another reefer, jerk
off, whatever you need to do to calm yourself, please.
