Is there anybody posting regularly to Pynchon-L who
*doesn't* agree with this? This observation appears to
define common ground that virtually everybody shares
-- although I'm sure somebody will correct me if they
don't agree.  I agree with jbor's statement,
certainly; my reading of Pynchon assumes that his work
supports multiple perspectives and doesn't favor any
particular one, always has, always will, despite
distortions and straw man arguments that are
continually erected only to be knocked down by
P-listers who appear to need to draw Lines  instead of
letting the discussion flow freely, centered on ideas,
and respecting differences of opinion.
