I hadn't heard this one before. Instead of smoking
banana peels, may you get high by standing real close
to the plant and inhale when it exhales?
from the MAPS list:
Hello everyone,
I am interested to hear anything and everything
anyone can tell me
about the psychoactive effects of carbon dioxide. I
had previously
put it along with the "mescaline works by lowering
blood sugar" junk
in Huxley's early stuff, but changed my mind after I
heard first hand
of its use in therapy, and also checked it out for
myself. My mind
boggles that good old CO2 can have these effects, and
I wonder
* have its psychological and physiological effects
been
systematically explored? Is it safe? Is it
interesting?
* are they similar to those induced by holotropic
breathwork?
* does it have potential for exploratory or
therapeutic work?
* could it be a potential means for conducting
psychedelic studies
without the usual associated legal problems?
any enlightenment or comments on these issues will
be gratefully received
