offers  a shabby misrepresentation of what I've said
here, about M&D. 

Re Wicks, my point has been, in the current
discussionnot to underestimate the capabilities of an
oral storyteller -- not that Wicks is the sole
narrator of M&D. 

Isn't a discussion enough?  Why do you have to go out
of your way to try to start an argument?
