keithsz I suppose was trying to flame me when he suggested that since I
said I felt that Pynchon was peerless among contemporary authors if you
draw the line in the fourth dimension at 1965, what would happen if you
drew the line in the sand after 1973?
Well that IS an interesting question. I admit to being a baby boomer
geezer at age 55. I would be interested in learning who the greatest
contemporary author is if we just talk about the last 25 years. I submit
there would be no consensus in the way that Pynchon would be named by
virtually everyone if you made the period 35 years.
I'm all ears.
