It's unmistakable. Even if you don't know it belongs to Nabokov, you

I do something like this in every post. 


Such a mixed bunch you never know who is gonna catch you slipping, but
someone always does. I don't believe people write for themselves, but
for an audience. Trouble is, Millson's three hundred lurkers might be,
as his fascist great white hoax put it, "a bunch of martians." I wonder
if St. Jack believes in UFOs?
