Very good -- one doesn't have to write it down/ to show but it's clear to
the reader/the viewer that fist & face meet. Evidence: the broken tooth.
Equally it mustn't be written down explicitly in the text that Dixon whips
the guy.

of the scene I am more convinced than ever that Dixon whips the driver in
the novel as the historical Dixon did.
