That's good, I certainly didn't want to offend you or anyone else here.
It's just that I'm disappointed that you wasted so much time playing
with pawns again and never developed a strategy or a game. For a guy who
is so damned persistent and prickly you never get anywhere. Always
bogged down in the middle of the board trying to win a pawn you get
stuck on words or indeterminate details. Who owns the gun? Who cares.
The point is not that Dixon carries weapons about on his person but that
he did in fact pick one up and make use of it. No, he didn't shoot
anyone. No, we don't know if he would have if he were shot at or
something or someone attacked him. But Doug is arguing that Dixon did
not whip the Driver or even hit him because Dixon is a Quaker pacifist.
