Thanks for the link, Doug.

I ignore modern ads, can't stand 'em, but sometimes enjoy old 
ones--illustrating yet again, I guess, that today’s dreck is often 
tomorrow's art, or camp, at least.

Coincidentally, this weekend I was studying the ads in the December 1965 
Holiday magazine. I got the magazine (at Trueblood, S~z) for my Pynchonalia 
collection (a harmless, albeit peculiar, hobby) because it includes P.'s 
short essay describing why he believes _Warlock_ is an ignored masterpiece. 
Favorite bit: "For we are a nation that can, many of us, toss with all 
aplomb our candy wrapper into the Grand Canyon itself, snap a color shot and 
drive away; [...]."
