Now, first off, keep in mind, you two (Doug, Robert),
I'm generally NOT reading much of anything you two
post anymore precisely because I'm tired of the both
of you arguing with each other simply for the sake of
arguing with each other, esp. with Robert's
sycophantic pinerider, Morris (Macki been behaving
himself lately? again, I've stopped reading), eagerly
rushing off the bench to join in the brawl, generally
more independently minded Others--say, Terrence,
MalignD, whoever--getting their kicks in as they see
fit ...
And, no, I understand Doug is not helping matters, but
NO ONE giving him any hassle is innocent here, either.
Doug and I would be at each other's throats, no
doubt, were it not for the fact that, well, we aren't,
as we can deal with the fact that we're on opposite
sides of the fence on many, many matters, and do not
feel obligated to be assholes to each other about it.
Now if you could ALL work out such an arrangement
(and, no, i don't want to hear about how it's JUST
this one person or another's fault) ...
But, from what anybody BUT the principal combatants
here are telling me offlist, you've largely been
having the same argument y'all had last time this came
up, and, hey, sorry, kids, but, without coming to
Doug's conclusuons, whatever they might be, I can see
perhaps what might have raised his questions, and
they're raised for good reasons, reasons I've already
detailed here, so ... so I can also see why pretty
much anybody here is reading that passage however they
read it as well, and I've detailed that as well. So
are we on to something else yet? Maybe I'll start
reading again ...
