But I suppose that, 'til now, I've nevere really read
that "Introduction" as introducing those stories in
Slow Learner, so much as I've read it as documenting
(as he does in that letter included in the Seed book)
his influences and at least aspects of his writing
methods, about which I do believe he is being fairly
candid, so ... so I've not been reading it as
lit'rachure in and of its own right, either, hence my
apparently minoritarian positivity towards it ...
