FWD: Big Fat Book Readers Group

A poll is being taken this week and members of the  the BFB Readers 
group are invited to vote for the next book the group will read 
starting in mid-January. The poll closes at midnight next Saturday 
(12-21-2002) so vote early. New members are encouraged to start right 
out voting for the Fattie they were just waiting to pull out of their 
towering TBR pile to read and enjoy. The member's selections this month 
are --

        The Golden Notebook -- Doris Lessing (635)
        The Far Pavillions -- M. M. Kaye (1189)
        Le Morte d'Arthur -- Sir Thomas Mallory (950)
        The Magic Mountain -- Thomas Mann (706)
        Mason & Dixon -- Thomas Pynchon (773)
        Instance of the Fingerpost -- Iain Pears (735)
        A Fine Balance -- Rohinton Mistry (603)

You should check the daily results at the site but I can report that 
with 18 votes counted so far The Far Pavilions is leading with Magic 
Mountain close behind.
