NP "racist" Tolkien

Again and agian and again and again, no one's calling
Tolkien a racist here.  But Moorcock in particular is
right, he might have thought twice before writing some
of the things that he did, at least he might have had
they been much at issue at the time ...

The biggest mistake one can make regarding prejudices,
stereotypes, what have you, is to assume that you're
free of them.  Or that one can exorcise oneself of
them by a simple denunciation.  Eternal vigilance ...
