pinn schon mal den flyer an!

 there are two ways of pronouncing the name pynchon: one goes "pinnsch*n" with  
 emphasis on the first syllable and a silent vocal in the second; the other puts 
 the stress on both syllables and sings the "o" longer which makes the name's 
 second part sound like the german word "schon" (= already). my question: does 
 anybody know how the pynchons themselves do pronounce their own family name?
