The reason that "bioengineering" is unstoppable is that it promises are so 
exceedingly great.  Of course its potential for horrific accidental or 
intentional results also exist.  Two sides of a coin which is already 
spinning in the air.  The more tosses, the more chances for either side to 
land up.
