A good friend gave me Said's "Among The Believers" for Christmas, which I've
not yet read. The following is from a post by Terrance just after he won
the Nobel:

Subtitled "Islamic Excursions Among the
          Converted Peoples," *Beyond Belief*
          follows up his acclaimed 1981
          publication, *Among the Believers: An
          Islamic Journey.* Both books feature
          extensive interviews in Pakistan, Iran,
          Indonesia, Malaysia. Many of the
interviewees in the two books are the
          same, contributing continuity and deeper
          insights into Islamic fundamentalism.
