Pynchon is up on his Argentinian political history, so I'd suggest the
first. Can't find any details on him in English, however, and the
translation programs I use all suck.

Gastrick speech indeed. I noticed that Torpedo is also another name for a
kind of cigar, too. I did not know that. Has Lord Sandwich come up yet? I
can't recall.
