There exists no Maryland beyond an Abstraction....  no more, to be fair, than there exists any Pennsylvania.   354:4-8.

Interesting... I had just read that in late 1764, Ben Franklin travelled to England to plead in favor of revoking the Penn's charter... creating a Royal Territory (perhaps with BF as Royal Governor).  The purpose of this proposition was restoring the peace.
