respond), but this is so silly I could not let it pass:

Oh, I see. So I am the only person on this list now who was not suscribed in
1997? Or perhaps I'm the only person here now who finds the majority of your
posts annoying?

Well, if by some chance I am the sole member of either category, then I do
sincerely apologize for using "us".

However I must express serious doubts about being alone on either count.
