SCB,

Perhaps you don't realize how funny it is to read posts from people like
you and Terrance, as you complain about people who focus their posts on me
even as you are doing precisely that.  Hilarious!

It's even funnier, when you muster the nerve to send a zinger in my
direction, only you've slung your barb at the wrong target!

I figure, you must be doing this stuff on purpose for laughs -- It's
difficult to imagine that you're really that dumb  --  it's just more of
the trademark Pynchon-L comedy you all share so freely.

But maybe it's not all laughs. It occurs to me, maybe you just need to vent
a little steam now and again, and if I'm a helpful target for you in that
regard (did I get it right?), well I'm glad to be of service.  Being of
service to my fellow P-listers is one of my top resolutions for 2002, after
all.

By the way, just so you don't accidentally get confused, here's what I mean
with the formatting thing:

SCB:  [this -- usually a name or initials followed by a colon -- indicates
the source of the quoted material to follow]
[now comes the actual material that I'm quoting from somebody else's post]
"You're not alone. I suggested a while back that people stop responding to
Mr.Millison and his waif.  But it seems most people on this list cannot
resist and therefore they deserve the results."
