This is what troubles me about all this shit, though. 
There's no reason for anyone to be intimidated about
posting on Pynchon here, no one is "out of their
league," but the flaming, well ...

But I will stress, again and again and again, this is
hardly all Doug's fault, and, here, it takes rather
more than two to tangle, seems to take the visble
population of an entire listserve.  NOW maybe I can
get back to Mason & Dixon ...
