Quail,

Sorry I didn't have a chance to meet you when I was in NY -- I guess you
couldn't make it to the NYPL get-together.  Too bad, we had a lot of fun.
Meeting each other in person makes it difficult to demonize the other, and
makes it easy to remember that behind these onscreen words are human beings
who feel the same emotions, hopes, and fears that I do.

I'm going to ignore what you've just told Brent and instead wish you only
the best in 2002, too. We've had our differences in the past, but I'm
willing to let bygones be bygones.  I really hope things go well for you
this year.
