I couldn't get the link to work, by the way, but am assuming it's a sound
grab of Mr (Monty) Burns. Possible, I guess: Pynchon does enjoy tv cartoons.
I could also swear I heard Kyle Broflowski's mother back at 284.28 too, but
thought better of mentioning it at the time.
