Good point, even given the extra added contention the
not infrequent readings of Pynchon's nonfiction seems
to lead to here. Plus bonus points for certain
canonical disputes (for a living author, at that (!)).
Reminds me, Derrida on Nietzsche's luandry lists in
Spurs/Eperons, but ...
Me, I can always read Vineland on my own, but, on
reflection, I NEED an incentive to reread Slow Learner
(which, of course, come with its own nonfiction
piece). And, whilst I STILL think, Vineland, Now More
than Ever (thanks, Toby), after M&D, ESP. after M&D,
we certainly COULD use some less distant shores to
sail for here ...

Again, something to tide us over 'til a new novel
appears (with Mike Weaver's thematic suggestion
perhaps as the very deep indeed shallows to wade in
betwixt announcement and publication). Then again,
I'd inevitably join a discussion of cereal box copy
