I was thinking some of Musil´s shorter fiction: Black Magic, specifically, 
which, by some fortunate thread of irony, also reflects a bit on the 
mechanics of the list itself.

I insist on The Master and Margarita. JBFRAME will surely find it more and 
more ascertained as he reads deeper into it.

And as regards Nabokov, Lolita or The Real Life of Sebastian Knight will 
probably be more suited to Pynchonesque thematics than Pale Fire.

There is, apparently, a scheduled estimate for the release of Pynchon´s new 
novel? When is it expected?
