Well, have you seen the film version with Dustin Hoffman and John Malkovich? 
  It was fantastic!  See it if you haven't, and maybe you'll agree then.

And remember, I don't like _Vineland_ very much.  Of course one's a novel 
and the other's a play, but I think one can be better than the other.
