Gershom (attributed) to George, Martha, Chas and Jere: "Actually they're

The King takes a long coach-ride out into the country, and decides to walk
back to the Palace, in company with his Fool. Growing at length fatigued,
they learn, of a farmer they meet, that they're ten miles yet to go. "Maybe
we'd better send for the carriage," says the King. "Come on, George,"
replies the Fool, "-- we can do it easily,-- 'tis but five miles apiece."
