OK, if you'd rather stick at the level of simplistic denial, reversal, and
distortion, using the historical record when it suits you and
hypocritically rejecting the same record when it contradicts your argument,
and bail out when your arguments are shown to be absurd, no problem.
I'm glad I took the time to counter your preposterous argument. You stand
Pynchon on his head by reading into M&D an idea that the novel in no way
supports, the notion that a slave can enjoy liberty within the context of
slavery as practiced in colonial America.
