Holding the claims of much of Afrocentric "history" to normal standards of 
judgement is hardly reactionary.  Afrocentrism, as it exists today and as it 
operates on may college campuses, is more a political movement, a lever of 
power, than it is a serious scholastic endeavor.  

Afrocentrist "scholars" have claimed, among other things, that classical 
culture was in fact stolen from the Egyptians, plundered from the libraries 
at Alexandria, one of the plunderers being Aristotle.  A neat trick on the 
wily Greek's part, since the library wasn't built until after Aristotle's 
death.  

These aren't Dr. Walker's claims or necessarily her beliefs, but they are 
part of the arguments that form the Afrocentrist position Dr. Walker embraces 
and with which she identifies herself.

But this isn't the first time that Millison has backed his opinions with 
cites from less-than-reliable sources, responding with name-calling to those 
who point it out.
