Otto,
Before Jim Hightower, whoever he is, there was Earl Long, brother of Huey, 
who said: "There ain't but two things in the middle of the road-yellow lines 
and dead skunks." Alas, that picturesque political testament has been abased 
to the politically correct "road kill." After all, we would not want to 
offend the skunks, would we?
Still watching ALL of you, I remain true to the belief that Stanley Fish's 
name reflects the odor of his theory (or whatever he calls it).
