You can read about this "true" Mozart, contrary to the common fairytale of
the "Wunderkind", in William Gaddis' "JR" -- the best book I've read last
year:

of course, I'm sure of success, even if today I should make a mess, though
to Paris I go in a fortnight or less. So if you want to send a reply to me
from the town of Augsburg yonder, you see, then write at once, the sooner
the better, so that I may be sure to receive your letter, or else if I'm
gone I'll have bad luck, instead of a letter to get some muck.
Muck!-Muck!-Ah, muck! Sweet word! Muck! Chuck! That too is fine. Muck,
chucuck! That's what I like! Muck, chuck and suck! Chuck muck and suck
muck!"

"Later, after he has fallen for Aloysia Weber (whose sister Constanze he
would one day marry), he apologizes (sort of) for his delay in writing to
the Bäsle, suggesting a kind of diplomatic inversion, "Our asses shall
signal the tidings of peace." It is in this letter that he celebrates muck
and mud in what amounts to a seditious little aria, "Dreck! Dreck! O
Dreck!""

I believe that it's the same kind of intention as behind the faked history
of George Washington that did this to Mozart too, the same kind of
hagiography has been applied to this "wild-side" of the famous composer:

" his rhymes and his puns, his scatological and coprophilic obsessions, his
doublings, inversions and mirrorings - is the essential Mozart (...)"
