Hello All,
I came across this www site during the news coverage of the John
Walker Lindh trial last week and was wondering if anyone else out there
on the Pynchon list would care to comment?

I simply do not even have the words to comment on this site.-
We all have to consider the issues of personal liberty versus security
in these times of terrorism and any of the future "Little Bush Wars".
(As I like to call them.)
I wanted to bring this subject to your attention, which also brings
to mind First Amendment
questions. It does makes one wonder where the politics and rights of
free speech ends and
a true act of treason begins?
All the good olde boys ....John Adams and good old Tom Paine- "The
Age of Reason. "
fame must be rolling in their graves. There has been very little
commentary from any of
the Washington or national media on this "moderate?????
Black Muslim" response.
[The last group I could think of this "moderate", got it's start in
the
German beer halls in during the 1930's. These moderate groups were part
of the
vast herds that once roamed most of Northern Europe during the last
century.
Now...Hunted down and driven to near extinction for their highly prized
leathers, bold makings and 9 mm Lugers now only rarely found in a few
isolated
game preserves in Paraguay and Argentina.
(Note: The sittings in the US House of Representatives during the
Nixon era have never been confirmed. )]
No comments were heard from the national media on this
Somehow this moderate groups demonstration for Moussaoui slipped
by all the mainstream news
organizations attention???? None...zip...nothing
....zero...nada......not a peep...!
If the religious and racial situation(s) had been somehow reversed
there would have been such a tremendous hue and cry.
The United States is in a world of trouble if this was a just a
"moderate"
demonstration
by black Muslims.
What should a free society do? This groups cackling over supporting
Moussaoui and pro Ben Laden makes
me feel the need to bring back the SEDITION ACT.
(In my opinion.)
Regards
Scott
