Chirstian is however interesting to me. It's not that I am a Christian nor do

suppose that many of you are. But the possibility of such a thing is what I

And those characters he creates which express
belief seem to do it inspite of themselves: Mexico,
Mason, evening Pudding and Pointsman, and in a
less than successful or fulfilling way. There are
some who seem to embody faith without either
attempting to possess it or flee from the human
tendency to believe, e.g., Gwenhidwy and perhaps
Dixon, yet "keep cool but care" is about the most
definitive message I've discerned.
