I actually saw Solaris AND Stalker back-to-back on the
big screen a while back--man oh man ... Stalker's
adapted from Roadside Picnic by Boris and Arkady
Strugatsky (q.v.); Aleksandr Sokurov's Days of Eclipse
(1988) was adapted from their Definitely Maybe, so,
given the chance, see that as well.   I know Otto's a
fan (Lem, Tarkovsky) as well, amongst others here
(Derek Maus, where are you?), so I'll let him/them go
on about it all if he'd like, but here's some info
