Playboy Japan Interview

The last I knew about the Playboy Japan interview, its authenticity was
still somewhat in doubt.  There were questions as to whether he had made the
comments, and if he had, whether the interview really captured what Pynchon
might have said, whether it was "off the record," not intended to be taken
as gospel, etc.

So have the comments been authenticated by Pynchon and/or his
representatives?
