Terrance:It's not hatred more than bewilderment (I grew up RC).
There are individual priests/nuns and lay folk who are more than decent, 
common-sensical, and are making a valuable contribution to society, most 
definitely more than rich romeo.

It's the institution that is the problem, as many within the church would 
agree--the pomp, the vatican splendor, its knee-jerk reactions and cover-ups 
of scandal. that's what so sad.
