But doesn't that sound just a little improbable and deceitful - like someone
is trying to make an excuse by using a euphemistic description, as Scott
points out - particularly in the context of the effect of the "accident" on
the slave-owner's face and what Dixon is reported as saying and thinking?
Sort of like saying that the tree collided with the car on your insurance
claim, or that the GIs walked into the Al Qaeda fighters' bullets, or that
the WTC towers "ran into" those two planes?
