This is so stupid, and of course it's all about Saint Doug again.  And of 
course Dave Monroe (defender of the brainless) quibbles and dissembles in 
Doug'd defense.  I agree with Terrance.  They are both full of shit, readily 
twisting Pynchon's text to their own service, and dragging down the level of 
discussion here in the process.
