Pynchon's reconciliation of apparent opposites WAS Dixon's nonviolence

Take your word for WHAT?  That Pynchon didn't write what no one ever said he 
did?  Thomas makes a pointless point about a straw man, and offers up no 
insight other than that he can't read s~Z's posts.  But if it backs up Doug, 
that's good enough for you, eh?
