More a case of Dave's face moving towards the egg, I guess. But really,
I did
not intend to throw eggs or punches or anything else except, I have to
admit, in Doug's direction. And let's not forget that you misunderstood
my statement just like Dave did. My fault, perhaps, but at least one
native speaker got it.
While I am at it, two statements concerning list politics and the topic
under
discussion: First, I thought Terrance's attack on Dave was wholly
unwarranted.
Secondly, I think it is ridiculous to believe that the paragraph under
discussion does not clearly express that Dixon punches the slave-owner
in the
face (and he has my applause for doing this). I won't discuss this
matter any
further, because Rob and Keith have said everything there is to say
about it,
and I have got better things to do.
