         More about movies now.
"AI" made some impression , but I was waiting for more (not that Spielberg
is one of my favourites , but I respect his films and try not to miss them).I
hope , "Minority Report" will be more impressive. And I think it's interesting
to compare "AI" with "V".
"Avalon" is not the best film for retelling.Visit any site about Rotterdam
Film Festival 2002.They'd give more information , tnan me.I just want to add ,
that the setting of the film (Europe after some devastating conflict) may be
connected with Zone.
Monica Belevan wrote aabout Luis Bunuel and I agree with her praising of
this (sadly dead long ago ) director. In my opinion his best films are : "The
Golden Age" (1930) , "The discreet charm of bourgeuse" (1971) and "The Phanthom
of liberty" (1967). (Sorry , I could mix some dates or tranalations).

Finally, I want to get back to my previous letter. I mentioned there
the latest film by Jean Luc Godard. It's good to know , that the great
Swiss-French filmmaker is still in good shape (critics don't shorten his name
to God for nothing).Anyway , he deserves separate letter.
                              Ivan
