Well, interesting new novel called Gould's Book of Fish by Richard Flanagan
has gotten some rave reviews--see today's NY Times book review--sounds very
M&D-like. a novel narrated by an Australian convict in the 19th century and
all the madmen he meets and tall tales he provides.
Secondly, it doth appear that the pynchon and japanese playboy seems to not
have been mentioned anywhere in the press--I've done some digging and
nothing, nada, bupkis. i'm leaning towards non-belief. oh well.
reading Dreamland by Phil Patton--it has TRP seal of approval--god, when was
the last book he blurbed--it's been awhile--maybe he's too busy researching
or something.
anyone else read the delillo story yet? am i crazy to think it's not very
good?
Rich
