thought of a certain group of individuals who would probably find it as
interesting as I did . . .

Checking the Pynchon-list archives, I see that Andrew Scott Chesnick
already broached the subject on the 12th in reference to an Atlantic
Monthly article "Seeing Around Corners with the Man Who Would Shake Up
Science" (April 2002).
