from that page:
Feng Shui: (CHN) - der Weg des Windes und des Wassers (feng = wind, shui =
Wasser). Eine alte geomantische Kunst, die der menschlichen und spirituellen
Entwicklung dient.

Maybe Doug can help. My _I Ching_ calls wind *Sun* and water *Kan*.

Pro:
Today, Feng Shui has evolved into a refined art used to enhance luck and
well-being through the modifications of layout and orientation of
work-places and homes and is gaining popularity in the West.
The aim of Feng Shui is a complete harmony and a deep sensitivity with the
natural order. Many aspects of Feng Shui are based on intuition (sixth
sense) and commonsense.

Contra:

Alleged masters of feng shui, those who understand the five elements and the
two energies such as chi and sha (hard energy, the opposite of chi), are
supposed to be able to detect metaphysical energies and give directions for
their optimal flow. Feng shui has become a kind of architectural acupuncture
(...) In short, feng shui has become an aspect of interior decorating in the
Western world and alleged masters of feng shui now hire themselves out for
hefty sums to tell people such as Donald Trump which way his doors and other
things should hang. Feng shui has also become another New Age "energy" scam
with arrays of metaphysical products from paper cutouts of half moons and
planets, to octagonal mirrors to wooden flutes, offered for sale to help you
improve your health, maximize your potential and guarantee fulfillment of
some fortune cookie philosophy.

I have learned that placing an aquarium next to the entrance brings money to
the house, so this explains the multiple aquariums at Chinese restaurants
(all my favourite ones got one) but somebody told me that today this only
means that these restaurants show that they have paid their blackmail-money
to the local Triade (Chinese Mafia).
