The situation on pynchon-l

Since Murthy asked for comments, here are mine.
My advice is to just relax and let the current "crisis" play itself out.
If a certain p-lister (no need to mention names) is so intent on
remaining the object of attention even at the cost of making an ever
greater ass of himself, why should anyone try to stop him. For one
thing, the only way to stop him would be to disband the p-list, an
action I feel pretty sure must have entered Murthy's mind a time or two.
The warnings Doug issued (I think I'm right here) weren't to the p-list
or its owners but to Terrance. and the bill of complaints concerned
mainly stuff that is allegedly supposed to have happened off list. It
was all very nutty of course. Wonder if the family lawyer warned about
the danger of issuing warnings and of the existence of frivolous suit suits?
