Thanks for posting the Fiedler excerpts, Dave. If the
SL stories are as weak as Pynchon claims, perhaps
better to apply F's insights to Pynchon's later works.
Or, maybe a reader can see the avoidance of sex that F
mentions beginning even in these early stories, and
continuing on through all of P's work.
