SLSL Intro: poorly written? WAS Re: Thank Goodness

I agree with Otto here. Pynchon writes in the SL Intro
what he wants to write, he has a literary agent and
editors who will give him feedback, I have to assume
that Pynchon is very much in control of what he
chooses to publish in the SL Intro. In this and his
other non-fiction essays, Pynchon deals with issues
and concerns that he addresses in his fiction, the
non-fiction and fiction together make up a seamless
web of work that calls forth many different kinds of
responses from readers -- that's a reflection of their
richness, imo, not of their inability to communicate.
