Well, I look at it this way. That "Introduction" is
one of the rare moments where Pynchon discusses, with
whatever degree of candor, his own works, inc. the
stylistic shortcomings thereof, not to mention a whole
buncha other stuff. It's that whole buncha other
stuff I'm attempting to cover here, but ...

... but I'm only laying off the stories themselves
figuring there's a whole buncha other people up after
me who'll likely refer back to the comments Pynchon
makes on their respective stories, and, if nothing
else, that at least gives me an excuse not to attempt
to cover EVERYTHING in that "Intro," esp. as I'm
having uncharacteristic trouble finding even the most
obvious of materials, whether at home, at libraries,
or in shops. But, by all means, bring up whatever's
necessary. The stories woul at least be on-topic ...
