Not a matter of "defending" McHoul and Wills. "Are

Insofar as one can answer that question in one word,
er, yes. Sure. Whatever. For you a matter of
demanding a denunciation of them, maybe? "Confess,
confess." I didn't expect a sort of Australian
Inquisition. No, wait, I did ...
Well, again, one of a very few sustained published
pieces ostensibly on that "Introduction," is all.
Which, along the way, does address certain issues
raised on, by, and for the List as well. I'm not
concerned that anybody agrees with it, much less likes
it, much less even reads it, but I am concerned with
this bizarre campaign to somehow villainize me simply
for posting from it ...

Wills' Prosthesis (Stanford, CA: Stanford UP, 1995),
by the way, was interesting, useful, though I
ultimately left it half-read as I dropped whatever
project I was reading it for ...
